New England Saltwater Sports Fishing at it’s finest!
The waters along the Rhode Island coast are blessed with some of this worlds’ most abundant fisheries—striper, tuna, bonito, albacore, squateeg, shark, and bluefish.
Capt. Pagano has made it his business to know where the hot spots are. Come be one of the hundreds of anglers to have fished with this country’s top saltwater charter captain. Fly fishing, light tackle, or big game gear, Joe Pagano and StuffIt Charters cater to all.
See why national magazines such as Outdoor Life, Tide Magazine, The New York Times, Big Game Fishing Journal, and The Providence Journal write about his exploits. Experience the thrill and skill that has prompted national television shows to join Joe and film expeditions on the "Stuff It" in Rhode Island's waters, where fishing for stripers, tuna, albacore, bonito, and sharks are second to none.
The bible of saltwater fishing, Saltwater Sportsman, has put Capt. Pagano on the cover of their magazine twice in the last three years, and have published several a feature story on his accomplishments.
“I have been guiding for over twenty-eight years. I enjoy sharing my techniques and my boat with people interested in the outdoors, and I am sure you will have a great time fishing with me. I'll give you the joy of a fun, challenging, and well managed fishing trip."
“I have guided fishermen from around the world, including fly fishing guru Lefty Kreh, Rhode Island’s Gov. Don Carcieri, and other celebrities. My clients have reeled in trophy stripers, sharks, tuna, and several other types of saltwater fish. My objective is to give all my saltwater fishing clients the opportunity to catch the fish of a lifetime.”
Rhode Island waters hold an amazing abundance of fish. In 1991, Captain Pagano caught the second largest fish in the world ever landed by rod and reel. It was a 2,909 pound, 15 1/2-foot long Great White Shark. (see the "shark" page).
Don't expect to catch a one-ton fish on the average trip, but year in and year out his clients land over 650 stripers weighing over 20 pounds, as well as dozens of fish that are 40+ and 50+ pounds, and hundreds in the 10 to 20 pound range. Seventy-five percent of these fish were released after their capture.
Share the challenges and beauty of the New England coastal waters with Joe on your next fishing adventure.
